Kanazawa Castle View

Beautifully restored Maeda Clan castle near Kenroku-en

Kanazawa Castle stands very near the famous garden of Kenroku-en in Ishikawa. Destroyed by fire and rebuilt several times throughout history, this large and well-restored castle would be worth visiting.

Sadly, I didn't have time so I just enjoyed the views of the tiled walls and Ishikawa-mon Gate as I ate ice-cream sitting on the benches in front of the restaurants and souvenir shops near Kenrokuen.
