Yakiniku (grilled meat) Kou Restaurant, located in the suburban Sapporo, is the first yakiniku halal restaurant in Hokkaido! Following the increase of halal restaurants in major cities across Japan such as Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, the launch of a halal-yakiniku restaurant in Hokkaido was good news for Muslim tourists.

Hokkaido is one of the islands of Japan famous for its beautiful natural scenes all over the regions. Thus, this island not only attracts many local tourists but also foreign tourists. Hokkaido is also well-known for its various fresh seafood. Usually, seafood dishes are the only choice for Muslim tourists in Hokkaido because it's still difficult to find restaurants that served halal-meat dishes.

Fortunately, with the opening of the halal restaurant Yakiniku Kou in Sapporo, Muslim tourists may enjoy delightful-yakiniku halal meat, especially, while they enjoy the famous Sapporo Snow Festival.

Yakiniku Kou has various dishes such as beef, chicken, sausages, and steaks. Surprisingly, it also serves gyutan (beef tongue) which is rare in other halal restaurants in Japan. This restaurant, indeed, also serves various seafood which is a local specialty in Hokkaido.

The restaurant also bring warm and cozy air. Unfortunately, it is located a little bit far from the nearest station (Motomachi Station on the Toho Line) is 20 minutes by foot. But, your exhaustion will pay off with deluxe halal meats and delightful dishes from this restaurant!
