Strolling at this resort turned out to be more invigorating than I thought! I could relax and take a warm bath all at once.

Toyako Onsen is a place where you can admire the beauty of nature and also interact with it directly. Besides trekking at Mount Usu, you could choose from other relaxing activities at Toya Lake, such as a ride on a pleasure boat or making your own adventure with a kayak.

You don't have to worry about accommodation as there are lots of options here. In the evening, come and watch the fireworks, which take place daily from May until October.

To get here, take the Hokute train from Sapporo to Toya, which is a 2 hour journey (¥5,720). After that, change for a 15 minute bus to Toyako Onsen (¥330).
