Venue : Kobe City Museum When : Oct 3rd - Nov 23rd 2020, 10:00am - 6:00pm

The Kobe City Museum is hosting a special exhibition dedicated to Japanese glass from October 3rd until November 23rd 2020. Full scale glass production developed in Japan around the 17th century, and glass was often referred to by the names "bidoro" or "giyaman" during that time. The event will showcase a range of glassware from the Edo period through to the Meiji period, allowing visitors to enjoy the simplicity and calmness of Japan's take on this art form.

Adult admission to the special exhibition is priced at 1000 yen. Do note that the museum closes on Mondays, but will be open for the final day of the event.

Getting there

The Kobe City Museum is located a 10-minute walk from either Motomachi Station's east exit, or Sannomiya station's west exit.

If you plan to drive to the venue, do note that the museum does not have a dedicated parking lot. However, there are numerous paid lots in the surrounding streets.
