I highly recommend the lunch plate of the day. It is always incredibly tasty and healthy. (Photo: Sandra Isaka)

Kasama's Cafe R Hana

Great food & more in Ibaraki's pottery town

The Cafe R Hana is a lovely cafe housed in a traditional Japanese building in the popular pottery town of Kasama, Ibaraki Prefecture. In addition to a couple of delicious daily lunches, the cafe serves tasty desserts with coffee/tea.

Spacious and well decorated, it is the perfect place to 'duck into' and relax when visiting Kasama's traditional shopping street — including Kasama Inari Shrine and the Nichido Museum of Art.

For more information (in Japanese), check out the cafe's blog.
