With Halloween just around the corner, Hakone Yunessun is getting into the spooky spirit with a variety of themed events throughout the month of October.
Children who come to the venue in costume can receive free admission — parents/guardians need to follow the hot springs paradise on social media, post with the hashtag #ユネッサンハロウィン (Yunessun Halloween), and show the staff the post before entering to receive this perk. Do note that each child who receives free admission needs to be accompanied by a paying adult.
Along with the opportunity for children to receive free admission (normally priced at 1,400 yen), there will also be an outdoor onsen set up with giant pumpkins floating in it, dedicated photo spots, and themed food at the on-site restaurant.
Getting there
Hakone Yunessun can be accessed via a free shuttle bus from Gora Station, which is served by the Hakone Tozan Line as well as the Hakone Tozan Cable Car. The shuttle bus leaves Gora Station every 30 minutes during the following hours:
- 9:15am - 12:15pm,
- 2:15pm – 4:45pm
- 5pm - 8pm.
Alternatively, from Odawara Station, take the Hakone Tozan Bus or the Izu Hakone Bus until you reach the Kowakien bus stop (approximately 40 minutes travel time). Hakone Yunessun is right across the road from the bus stop.
