Back for its 22nd iteration, this year's Fuji Rock Festival is once again held at its home base, the Naeba Ski Resort in Niigata prefecture, from July 27th - 29th.
A stellar lineup of artists will gather for the 22nd iteration of the festival, in particular N.E.R.D and Kendrick Lamar, the latter recently winning a Pulitzer prize for his latest studio album, DAMN. Bob Dylan, perhaps one of the most influential people in pop music, will also be making his headlining appearance on Day 3 of the festival.
Other acts making an appearance this year include EDM icon Skrillex, indie outfit Vampire Weekend, and Johnny Marr of The Smiths.
Besides the festival's lineup of music as the main draw, other parts of the festival open to the public include Fuji Theater, where you can enjoy a couple of movies along the rivers of the Naeba Valley.
Take the Joetsu shinkansen from Tokyo station to Echigo-Yuzawa station, after which there are shuttle buses running from the station to the festival grounds
