Trains at Golden Week time
Hi - I am travelling to Japan at the end of April and realise it is Golden week whilst I am there.
My original plan was to travel Narita to Kyoto on Friday the 27th (afternoon) hoping that this will be just before the busiest time at the start of Golden week.
My Question: Will I be ok or will Friday afternoon be horribly busy and difficult also?
thanks for any help

You may find that all transportation will be busier than normal even starting from Friday the 27th.
I recommend you reserve tickets for trains at Midori no Madoguchi. Some travel agents and ticket agencies can book for you in advance for a fee.
