Hibiya Park in Central Tokyo

A place cats call home

Hibiya Park is a lovely place for wandering and reflection. Take a stroll through the fields of green and you’ll be sure to spot a number of friendly stray cats, which call the western-style park their home.

Opened in 1903, Hibiya claims the title of oldest park among those in Japan constructed in a similar style.

The tulip and rose gardens offer pops of color in an otherwise wholly green landscape. Surrounded by many tall government buildings, the space injects a much-needed sense of nature and beauty into the area. All of the seasons' changes can be enjoyed in this expansive park.
