Pancake cafes are a dime a dozen lately in Tokyo, with most of them clustered around the Harajuku neighborhood. Koa Pancake House sits slightly further afield in Shibuya's Jinnan district, but still close enough to catch those exiting from Yoyogi Park. Pancakes are large and fluffy, topped with sizable servings of whipped or ice cream. The eggs are a solid choice and the accompanying chorizo sausage is pleasantly spiced. Surprisingly, the BBQ chicken platter is a real stand-out that will have you considering a second order. Wash it all down with Hawaiian ginger ale or relax and sip your flavored coffee.
