Japanese art after WWII

C. Rio   - 1 min read

The key theme of this museum is the development of Japanese art since the conclusion of WWII, while still displaying young artists from present day, to show the current stat of art. With over 4,500 works within its collection, the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo is constantly changing exhibits.

At the time of visiting, the main gallery featured works of art that demonstrated the passage of time in "Our Ninety Years". The two temporary exhibitions were "Bunny Smash" a look at modern design and "Crystallize" the works of Tokujin Yoshioka. You can access the museum by taking a Toei Oedo Line train to Kiyosumi-shirakawa Station.

Getting there

Exit at A3 and follow the signs to the museum.
