Bakeries are a dime a dozen in Tokyo but it's difficult to find one that turns out a good bagel. Bagel Standard, a tiny shop located a short walk east of Nakameguro station on Yamate-dori, fills the void quite nicely with bagels baked fresh daily in a variety of flavors - think blueberry, onion, poppy seed and everything. You can top your bagel with one of the flavored cream cheese options or make it into a full sandwich. My smoked salmon and regular cream cheese order came with a hints of capers and was perfect on a doughy onion bagel. Take-away only, though there is a bench outside the shop if you need to eat on the run.
