For the 4th time in a row it was time to celebrate the legendary ULTRA dance music festival which took place in the TOKYO ODAIBA ULTRA PARK from September 16th to 18th. Over a time span of 3 days, electronic dance music lovers were once again able to witness their favorite DJs live on stage.

Gathering more than 120,000 people defying typhoon rains and winds made this year yet another unforgettable experience. And as they say, after rain comes sunshine, which definitely showed on the final day of ULTRA with high temperatures up to 33° C! The event itself was organized very well and lines to the bathroom and drinking bars were almost non existing.

Besides having the ULTRA MAIN STAGE, RESISTANCE and ULTRA PARK STAGE, this year ULTRA JAPAN decided to introduce a live stage which featured a big variety of live performances spread over multiple genres that resulted into mosh pits with heavy metal band Crossfaith and bouncing on the bass with hip hop artist KOHH.

If you are looking forward to participating in this epic festival next year be sure to check the ULTRA JAPAN website as early as February. This is when the early bird tickets start selling, which are almost sold out instantly. Regular prices for ULTRA JAPAN are usually available for around 13,000 JPY for a single day pass or 30,000 for a single day VIP pass. There’s also an option to purchase a special 3day pass for 39,000 JPY.

This years lineup contained a list of almost a 100 performers, and maybe even passed that
counting the various guest artists such as Steve Aoki featuring DJ Quintino. There’s just too many
artists to name them all at once, but here’s a few to start with:

• Tiësto
• Steve Aoki
• The Chainsmokers
• Hardwell
• Alesso
• Steve Angello
• Nicky Romero
• Knife Party
• Kygo
• Slushii
