The digital art collective NAKED have been the brains behind a number of seasonal projection mapping events at popular urban destinations like Tokyo Tower, Osaka's Abeno Harukas, and the Sapporo TV Tower to name just a few. If you'll be visiting Nagoya until the end of June, the city's Mirai Tower will be hosting their own collaboration event with NAKED, and it takes on a summery floral theme.
The NAKED Flower Tower event includes a 360° projection mapping show of flowers blooming on the tower's window surfaces, plus artificial flowers are also used to decorate the tower's Sky Deck observatory area.
Admission to the flower tower event is priced at ¥1500 for adults (high school students and above), ¥600 for children (elementary and junior high school students), and free for children below preschool age.
Getting there
The event takes place at Mirai Tower's Sky Deck observatory (formerly known as the Nagoya TV Tower). The tower is right outside Exit 4B of Hisaya-odori Station, which is served by the Meijo and Sakura-dori subway lines.
