Looking for something more than an Airbnb crash pad or a tiny anonymous hotel room? Tokyo Family Stays just might be what you are looking for. Australian couple and long-time Tokyo residents Tracey and Ash bring in over 20 years of experience living in Tokyo to create friendly family accommodations to help visitors make the most of their business or leisure trip. They have made it their mission to curate relaxed living spaces for guests to have a peaceful oasis in the bustling city. Tracey and Ash take hosting to the next level, providing personalized service and recommendations to fully experience local life.
There are 13 properties in different locations, with various house layouts and styles to choose from, all of which have living spaces, dining spaces, and kitchens separate from bedrooms. All houses are professional cleaned between guests (mid-stay cleaning may be requested for a fee) and are fully equipped with everything that defines the comfort of home: washing machine, clothes dryer, gas stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker (for your very own freshly brewed coffee in the morning!), pans, cutlery, crockery, some condiments, and complimentary coffee and tea. Essentials like soap, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, towels and linens are provided so visitors can simply pack lightly for their trip.
High-speed WiFi internet is available inside the house but portable WiFi units are also provided to carry around town, which means guests don't have to rent a device at the airport. And if you simply want to unwind after a busy day, there's an Apple TV to log onto your own iTunes, Hulu or Netflix account and a DVD player to play from the selection of DVDs provided. There are novels and travel brochures, walking maps and Lonely Planet books free for use during your stay. But the best source of information are Tracey and Ash themselves who are more than happy to assist you. All the properties are baby and child-friendly. If you let Tracey and Ash know what you need, they'll take care of the rest, which is the definition of stellar hosting.
