Early Sakura in Chiba

Sakura blossoms can be several shades of pink as well as white.

Sakura season usually comes in Chiba in April.

The cherry blossoms have a sweet fragrance.

Sakura blossoms only last a week or two.

A few sakura trees bloomed a bit early in Chiba this year.

These light pink blossoms appeared first (around March 29) in my quiet town on the coast of Chiba. Remarkably so because most of the other trees are still just buds at a park in Sosa City. The trees will soon make for a wonderful hana-mi area. Happy hana-mi season, everyone!
