Located just a six minute drive from Narita airport, Hotel MyStays Premier Narita was the perfect location for a comfortable night stay before a long journey to Europe. Until last year we always stayed in a nearby hotel before and after flights. But this year that hotel told us that they would no longer be able to accommodate our family of six in the one room. It proved quite difficult to find a hotel that would allow all six of us in the same room. And just when I had given up hope that we would all be able to stay together, I stumbled upon Hotel Mystays Premier.

It seemed almost too good to be true. A large clean modern room with three double beds with breakfast included for less than 20,000 yen for the night - for all of us, not per person. Half of me expected that when we arrived we would find something seriously lacking or that our room would be nothing like the photo online. Thankfully neither were true. The room was exactly like the photo on the official website. And there was absolutely nothing we could fault about the hotel.

I have no affiliation to this hotel and I am not sponsored in anyway to give it a rave review. I was genuinely blown away by its value for money. It is no five star hotel and the room - while modern, clean and comfortable - is quite basic, but they have some extras that really add to the convenience. For example, they have a smart phone in the room that you can use to look up information online. And for a nominal fee you can actually borrow it and take it out on your adventures around Narita or beyond. They provide free bottled water for guests, pairs of disposable slippers as well as tea and coffee in the room. The bathroom has a full complimentary vanity set and there is room wear you can use during your stay.

Within the hotel there are even more useful services, utilities and facilities. On the first floor beside the reception area is a family mart convenience store. They sell pretty much everything you need for an overnight stay and/or for a long haul flight, even souvenirs. There is a great choice of bento, sandwiches and take away food so you can eat at anytime of the night or day.

Our deal included breakfast in the buffet hall on the ground floor. The restaurant has a view of the small but manicured garden. There was quite a good selection of food. If I had to nitpick, then one area where there is room for improvement is the buffet. The selection of food was good, but they only had a couple of juices on offer, a few teas and unfortunately the coffee wasn't great. And they didn't have allergen free food other than fruit. Other than that though, they have enough food to satisfy most tastes and the food was fresh and tasty.

We found the staff courteous, professional and extremely helpful. We rang the hotel before booking online and the staff member we spoke to was particularly patient and gracious. She told us about the English language page and explained that we could get better offers when we book online which proved very true. We have found our new go-to hotel for an overnight stay before or after an international flight from Narita airport. I have no hesitation in recommending it as a "premier" choice of hotel for a comfortable and affordable stay in the Narita area.

Getting there

The hotel is located close to the Narita interchange of the Higashi Kanto expressway. You can actually see the hotel as you come off the expressway. They offer a frequent free shuttle bus to and from Narita airport and JR Narita station.
