To celebrate the beautiful colors of autumn, Chiba's Mihara-en Garden will host a seasonal light-up event from November 16th until November 24th. The event will include illuminated trees, lanterns, and umbrellas, along with koto and violin music performances, and even the opportunity to partake in a tea ceremony experience.
The evening illuminations take place from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm on weekdays, and from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays – however, the garden is recommended for viewing during the day, too! Admission to the garden is available until 30 minutes before closing.
Getting there
Mihama-en is located approximately 10 minutes on foot from the south exit of Kaihin Makuhari Station, which is served by the JR Keiyo Line.
For those who opt to drive, take the Higashi Kanto Expressway's Wangan Narashino IC and the garden is approximately 20 minutes drive away. On-site parking is available.
