There are certain things that signify that summer has arrived in Japan, and windchimes are one of them. The Nanrakuen Windchime Festival in Ehime will showcase approximately 3000 of these beautiful items from across the country, with many of them available for purchase.
Along with the impressive collection of Japanese windchimes, there will also be wind powered ornaments from other countries on display, including China and India.
Admission to the windchime festival is priced at 310 yen for adults, and 150 yen for elementary, junior high, and high school students, and those aged 65 years and over. Children under elementary school age receive free admission.
Getting there
For those using public transport, Nanrakuen is located around 40 minutes by bus from JR Uwajima Station which is served by the Yosan Line and the Yodo Line.
For those who opt to drive to the venue, there is free and plentiful on site parking available.
