Many people associate fireworks festivals with the summer months in Japan, but there are plenty of events outside that timeframe as well. One of them is the Fukushima Fireworks Festival, which will be held this March in collaboration with award-winning pyrotechnics company Margaux.
The event itself will run from 12 noon until 8.30pm, with around 10,000 fireworks set to be launched between 6.30 to 7.30pm.
Please note that this is a paid event with tickets required for admission. These can be arranged via the official event website here.
Tsurishi Bosai Ryokuchi Park is located two minutes by car or just under 15 minutes on foot from Shinchi Station, which is served by the JR Joban Line. Bus services are also available from Fukushima Station to the venue specifically for the event – please check the bus reservation site if that option is preferred.
For those who opt to drive, parking is available on-site for around 700 vehicles.
