Gero Onsen's folk village boasts fantastic fall foliage

<p>The park can be visited every day from 8:30am to 5:00pm</p>

<p>The folk park is one of Gero Onsen's best places to view the autumn leaves</p>

The Gassho Folk Park at Gero Onsen is worth a visit anytime of year, mostly due to its collection of thatched roof houses transported from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Shirakawa-go. Autumn, however, is when the folk park truly shines as the many maples turn fiery shades of red and orange. The juxtaposition of vivid fall foliage against the muted thatch of the old homes is striking.
