From late May through until early July, Hiroshima's Sera Kogen Farm hosts their annual Rose Festa. Around 135 different varieties of these beautiful flowers are on display at the event, and it's recommended to take at least an hour to walk around and admire them all.

If you work up an appetite after all of the flower viewing, the on-site Garden Cafe has a range of tasty eats available, including souffle-style pancakes, award-winning burgers, curries, and even rose tea that comes decorated with petals.

Admission to the event is priced at 1000 yen for adults, and 500 yen for children aged four years and above.

Getting there

The Sera Kogen Farm and Flower Village is located approximately a 25 minute drive from the Miyoshi IC on the Chugoku Expressway, around 40 minutes from the Kawachi IC of the Sanyo Expressway, and around 50 minutes from the Saijo IC, also on the Sanyo Expressway. Free on-site parking is available for up to 200 vehicles.
