During your visit to Kobe, make a plan to visit Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art in the newly developed urban center, HAT Kobe district. The museum is located just along the waterfront and it is easily accessible by foot from Nada Station on the JR Kobe Line.
Once you’ve reached the building, you’ll soon realize that the whole complex literally screams art, through sculptures and artworks found within the outdoor area. The building boasts a contemporary design by a famous architect, Ando Tadao. The museum’s indoor area offers a wide array of art collection, mostly exhibiting notable works by both local and foreign artists. From time to time, the museum also holds live performances in its spacious facility.
