Venue : Kobe Foreign Settlement When : Mid - Late Jan 2025

Kobe Luminarie is held every year during winter to commemorate the Great Hanshin earthquake of 1995. Luminarie is an Italian word meaning illumination using miniature bulbs. The bulbs in the Kobe Luminarie have been provided by the Italian government and the illumination symbolizes hope for Kobe citizens.

Kobe Luminarie is held at the Kyu Gaikokujin Kyoryuchi and the Higashi Yuenchi.

The event entrance is free but 100-yen donations can be made to support this 1995 Osaka earthquake requiem event.
