Night-time view of Shin Kobe bullet train station. The station is near to the old foreign settlements in Kitano-cho, and if you have some time left and the area is pretty good for a nice French or Italian dinner before you leave Kobe. (Photo: Manish Prabhune)

Shin-Kobe Station

Bullet train station in a picturesque setting

Shin Kobe Station is perhaps one of the very few bullet train stations in a natural and picturesque setting, and at the same time being directly connected with Tokyo. The station is at the base of Mount Maya and it is surrounded by natural beauty with a hiking trail starting just behind the station.

Travelling to various places and locations in Japan for over 20 years now, I want to share my experiences and also hear about destinations that I still have not been to in the land of the rising sun. Am a photography enthusiast and love to do slow shutter blue hour photography in Tokyo.
