Kagawa's Sanuki Manno Park is the only state-run park in the prefecture, and it hosts various events throughout the year including a range of flower festivals. During the colder months the park is home to 'Winter Fantasy', a large-scale illumination event which takes on a different theme annually.
The illumination event covers an area of about 30,000 square meters and is packed with 600,000 LED bulbs. One of the event's highlights is their illuminated champagne glass tower, which is 5 meters high and uses almost 5000 glasses!
Getting there
Sanuki Manno Park is located around 25 minutes from the Zentsuji IC on the Takamatsu Expressway, or 35 minutes from Sakaide IC on the Setochuo Expressway. On-site parking is available and is priced at 320 yen for regular vehicles.
For those utilizing public transport, the park is around 15 minutes by taxi from either the JR Kotohira Station, Kotoden Kotohira Station, or the Kotoden Okada Station.
