Rinka-en, situated just outside the famous, lovely Sankei-en Gardens in Yokohama's Honmoku district is lovely in its own right. Housed in a 600-year-old home that was moved to its present location from the Izu Peninsula in 1930, the traditional setting creates a very enjoyable atmosphere. The kaiseki dishes are brought out one-by-one, and are as nice to look at as they are to eat. Prices start at around 4000 yen for lunch, and 10,000 yen for dinner. Reservations are a must, and a private room will cost 5,000-10,000 extra.
