Beer lovers can rejoice as Ebina Booze Fest returns to Kanagawa for another lively weekend in early June. Held at the Vina Gardens Event Square just a minute from Ebina Station, this free-entry festival brings together 16 craft breweries, mostly from Kanagawa, offering a rare chance to sample local brews all in one place. Standouts include longtime local favorite Ebina Beer and sustainable brewer Better life with upcycle, alongside popular names from Yokohama, Shonan, and even Shizuoka’s West Coast Brewing.
This year's event emphasizes sustainability, encouraging visitors to reduce plastic waste by using reusable cups. Those who attended last year’s festival or others by the organizer, TDM 1874 Brewery, can bring their old cups to avoid the 300 JPY cup purchase.
Alongside the drinks, Ebina Booze Fest offers a festive atmosphere with DJ music and a wide variety of food. Local restaurants like Yakitori Ubuchan and Nouka Shokudo will serve signature dishes, while nine food trucks will be on site with options like mochiko chicken, Belgian fries, and Cuban sandwiches made by a Cuban chef.
The festival is organized by TDM 1874 Brewery, a Yokohama-based brewer known for its eco-conscious approach and use of local ingredients. With its strong community focus, diverse beer selection, and energetic setting, Ebina Booze Fest is shaping up to be a standout early summer event.
