Over Presidents Day weekend I went to the Hot Springs in Hakone with my family for the day. Hakone has several hot springs, but the one we visited was called Hakone Kowaki-en Yunessun. It is a great place to go even in the coldest of winters.
The Hot Springs area is located on a mountain with beautiful scenery. There are many pools to relax and play in from a coffee bath to a chocolate pool—You can even have fish eat the dead skin off your feet! Outside there are 3 slides that go into a giant hot tub. Beside the slides there is a fun cave pool with fog in it. The Hot Springs also has a red wine bath, a green tea bath, a rose bath, a salt bath (were you can float), and much more.
My favorite part was when they poured chocolate in the hands of people in the chocolate baths. I also liked the buffet; they had amazing food and even a chocolate fountain - we even got to cover our faces with it. The Hakone Hot Springs is a great place to relax and have fun with your family.
