Jomyo-ji Temple was the family temple of the Ashikaga clan. The temple itself was established in 1188, but the buildings have suffered repeated fires over the centuries. So only the big bronze roof on the main hall shows the glory of the old days. There is a tearoom in the temple and you can enjoy drinking powdered green tea while looking out on a beautiful Japanese garden.
