Kamakura's Sannzagaike Forest Park

A breath of fresh air away from the crowds

Beyond the fame of this city's major attractions lies the peaceful Sannzagaike Forest Park where anyone feeling a little too overwhelmed by Kamakura's never ending abundance of temple and shrines can find some much needed rest.

Situated about 25 minutes from Kita Kamakura Station, this secluded park contains a large lake surrounded on either side by peaceful dense forest along with a nice picnic area. Towards the upper slopes of this park it's possible to get some fine views of Mount Fuji whilst enjoying some peace and quiet away from the crowds.
