Shichiri-ga-hama is a very popular place for surfing throughout the year because of its complicated wave patterns, especially after typhoons. The beach looks black due to iron-rich sand. Iron manufacturing was carried out here in ancient days. In early spring, the sun sets directly behind Mt. Fuji. The silhouette of the mountain rises into an orange sky and is really beautiful to see.
