Kamakura's Wakamiya-oji Street

Come out Kamakura's East exit and walk straight ahead past the buses out to the main road. That's Wakamiya-oji Street. Turn right, and it's a 10 minute walk to the beach. Turn left, and it's a ten minute stroll along a beautiful path to Hachimangu Shrine. The raised dirt walkway is lined with cherry trees and lanterns and makes for a very pleasant outing year-round. Take your time, look around, and enjoy being in Japan!
