From August 25th until August 30th, the Pacifico Yokohama Exhibition Hall will host Philanippon 2021. The event has been held every 10 years since 1971, and this year's event will center around the theme of 150 years of the postal service. An insight will be given into mail delivery now and in the past, and the importance of postage in our everyday lives.
Approximately 200,000 stamps will be displayed at the exhibition, including some that will be available for purchase. There are also some fun activities to take part in, such as a postcard corner where you can write and mail a quick note to someone on the spot.
Admission to the event is free of charge, but pre-registration is required to enter. This can be organized via the official event website here.

Pacifico Yokohama is located approximately 5 minutes on foot from Minatomirai Station (Minatomirai Line), 12 minutes on foot from Sakuragicho Station (JR Keihin Tohoku Line), or 10 minutes by taxi from Yokohama Station (JR Tokaido Like, Yokosuka Line, Keihin Tokohu Line, Shonan Shinjuku Line, Keihin Kyuko Line, Sotetsu Line).
