Running for an impressive 17 years now, the Yokohama Bay Quarter Christmas Forest event brings approximately 23,000 sparkling lights to the grounds of this popular mall. A real 8 meter high fir tree is colored with champagne gold lights, and colorful floral displays cascade down from the ceiling, creating a space that looks like a magical flower garden.
The event runs all the way up to Christmas Day, with the illuminations taking place from 4pm until closing time daily.
Getting there
Yokohama Bay Quarter is located three minutes on foot from Yokohama Station's North East Exit. The station is served by various lines including the JR Tokaido Main Line, Yokosuka Line, and Yokohama Line to name just a handful.
For those who opt to drive, paid on-site parking is available – it can be partially validated upon purchases from stores within the mall.
The illuminations take place at the 3F Main Square.
