Yokohama's Nissan Global Gallery

A Car Lover’s paradise

Even if like me, you only have a casual interest in cars, it’s hard not to be impressed by Nissan’s Global Gallery.

Situated within Yokohama’s trendy Bay Quarter; an area famous for its modern skyscrapers, cool shops and picturesque waterfront, the first thing you will notice is the impressive layout of this building. This can be seen almost immediately when approaching from the second floor walkway, where you are given a bird’s eye view of the Gallery Below. When looking down you will notice the ingenious open plan design which helps to create the feeling of space

Once inside, you will see numerous cars on display, ranging from high performance models to standard family salons where it is even possible to get inside for a ‘closer look’

Towards the back of this Gallery is a Heritage corridor which presents an interesting display of the company’s history by way of illustrations and displays various classic models including the much loved ‘Datsun’

If you’re coming with children then fear not as there is an area specially designated for families. There is also a trendy café where you can relax and look out over the waterfront while enjoying a Cappuccino

Getting there

From Yokohama Station, head towards Sogo Department store via the East Exit, where a walkway connects directly this Gallery
