A few meters away from Nogeyama Zoo you can find Nogeyama Park

From late May to June this peaceful park has many colorful hydrangeas

Whilst most other popular places can get busy during this period this park remains peaceful for the most part

These pretty flowers look even better when viewed up close

Interestingly, there are many different types of hydrangeas ranging in color and size

Considering its small size, Nogeyama Park holds many different kinds of flowers

These beautiful pink hydrangeas contrast well with the more common blue variety

Famous for boasting one of the only free zoo’s you are likely to find in Japan (and perhaps the world), Yokohama’s Nogeyama Park also presents another reason to lure any would be visitor - Hydrangeas.

From May to June these colorful flowers can be seen in many popular tourist spots as well as throughout most neighborhoods. Whilst many of these flowers bloom into a rich blue tone, there are also various other different colors, many of which can be found within this park that is located several hundred meters away from JR Sakuragichi Station.
