Latest on Yomiuri LandIn the Tokyo area and looking for a fun way to welcome in the New Year? Yomiuriland amusement park is hosting their Yomiuriland New Year event, and if you're born in the Year of the Rabbit (or have the kanji character for rabbit in your name) you receive free entry on the first three days of 2023. If that's the case for you, bring some form of photo ID such as a driver's license, residence card, My Number card, or passport.
There will be a variety of activities at the event, including a rabbit petting area, rabbit races, lucky lion dances, and taiko drum performances. More information about the schedule for those activities can be found on the Yomiuriland website.
Getting there
Yomiuriland can be accessed in just 25 minutes from the Shinjuku area of Tokyo, or around 35 minutes from Shibuya – head to Keio Yomiuriland Station.
For those who opt to drive, the venue is around 2 kilometers from the Chuo Expressway's Fuchu Smart Interchange.
