The Kochi Ryoma Airport is named after Sakamoto Ryoma, one of Japan's most popular historical figures who was born in the prefecture. The airport here offers a range of domestic routes, including flights to Tokyo (Haneda and Narita), Osaka (Itami and Kansai), Nagoya, Kobe, and Fukuoka.

The airport has numerous retail stores and restaurants where you can get your fix of locally produced items. One store, "Big Sun", has over 600 different products from across the prefecture, including sake, confectionery, and coral jewelry - it's the perfect one stop shop for just about any souvenir you could want from the region. As for the restaurants, there are four to choose from, and many of them also have a focus on regional cuisine. Some of the restaurant highlights include Tosa beef at Restaurant Chao, dorome (a sardine dish) at Tsukasa, and fish from the Pacific Ocean at Uchinku no Shokutaku.

For those who are planning to continue their travels by car around Kochi and beyond, there is a car rental counter on the first floor with a range of rental companies to choose from. Next to the car rental counter there's an information desk with staff who can assist with finding airport amenities or providing details about flight schedules.

On the third floor of the airport building you'll find an observation deck where you can watch planes take off and land.
