From July 9th until August 22nd, the National Museum of Modern Art in Kyoto will explore the development of modern crafts through works from their in-house collection. Over 300 pieces from Japanese and international artists will be on display at the event, including ceramics, glassware, textiles, and more -- the full list of items can be found in Japanese here.

Adult admission to the event is priced at 1200 yen.

Getting there

The Museum of Modern Art Kyoto (MoMAK) can be accessed via bus from Kyoto Station. Take the Kyoto City Bus No. 5 (toward Ginkakuji Temple Via Heian-jingu Shrine), and alight at the “Okazaki Koen/Bijutsukan,Heian Jingu-mae” stop.

For those who plan to drive, there is no dedicated parking lot at the museum. Patrons are advised to park at the nearby underground Okazaki-koen Parking Lot. A parking discount of 200 yen can be provided from the museum on presentation of your ticket.
