Deluxs Outdoor Resort Kyotango Kumihama LABO

A glamping experience with the whole family in mind

Japan has a number of great places to go glamping (a portmanteau of glamorous + camping), and there is a fantastic compilation of some top options right here on Japan Travel. If you're after a destination which adds a bit of family-friendly flair to the glamping experience, a great choice is the Deluxs Outdoor Resort Kyotango Kumihama LABO.

Part of what makes this accommodation spot fantastic for families – particularly for dinosaur-loving kiddos – is that they've got giant dinosaur statues scattered around the grounds. It creates an atmosphere unlike any other glamping facility in Japan.

There are five different types of glamping tents here, with occupant capacities ranging from three to five people depending on which you choose. At the moment, one of the tents is even decked out with dinosaur-themed décor, and offers dinosaur gifts for any children who are staying with you.

The amenities at the resort also provide the opportunity for a fun yet relaxing getaway. Visitors can ride around the grounds on EV buggies, unwind in the sauna, play on the LED swings and see-saws, or end the day by the fire pit. For those looking for things to do off the premises, the Ine Fishing Village is an hour away by car, and Amanohashidate (regarded as one of Japan's three scenic views) is around 45 minutes away.

Whether you're visiting the area with your family in tow, or looking for a unique place to stay with your significant other or group of friends, Deluxs Outdoor Resort Kyotango Kumihama LABO is a great option to consider.

Getting there

Deluxs Outdoor Resort Kyotango Kumihama LABO is located around 2.5 hours driving time from either the Kyoto Station or Osaka Station areas.

For those visiting via public transport, the accommodation is around 15 minutes by taxi from Kumihama Station, which is served by the Kyoto Tango Railway's Miyazu Line.
