From October 2nd until October 21st, the Kyoto Okazaki Tsutaya store will be hosting an exhibition of works from ceramic artist Doki Mizuho. A graduate of the Kyoto City University of Arts, Mizuho has been creating earthenware pieces since 2016 and was originally inspired by ancient pottery modeling and techniques.

Unlike most modern ceramic artists who fire their works in a kiln, Mizuho uses an open flame technique to fire his works. A variety of his unique creations will be on display at the event, and a number of them will also be available to purchase for those who are interested.

Admission to the exhibition is free of charge.

Getting there

Kyoto Okazaki Tsutaya is located under 10 minutes on foot from Higashiyama Station, which is served by the Tozai Line .

As there is no parking lot at the venue, patrons are advised to use public transport wherever possible.
