Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami is known for his unique style that blends both traditional and modern artistic elements. He draws inspiration from pop culture, manga, and Japanese craftsmanship, resulting in some truly one-of-a-kind pieces.
A special exhibition coming to the Kyoto Kyocera Museum of Art in 2024 is set to showcase around 170 of his works, including representative pieces alongside new items to be displayed for the first time.

The Kyoto City Kyocera Museum is located approximately 8 minutes on foot from Higashiyama Station, which is served by the Tozai Subway Line.
For those who plan to drive to the museum, it's located around 7 kilometers from the Meishin Expressway's Kyoto Higashi IC exit. There are paid parking lots nearby to the museum, but taking public transportation is recommended.
