A special exhibition taking place at the Ishinomori Manga Museum (also known as the Ishinomaki Mangattan Museum) looks at the works of Shu Yamamoto, who has an incredibly unique, quirky style. This event will show a variety of his art that depicts felines as famous characters in historical artworks. Examples include the likes of Mona Lisa and The Girl with a Pearl Earring - as seen in the event flyer - to name just a couple.
Adult admission to the event is priced at 840 yen.
The Ishinomori Manga Museum is located around 15 minutes on foot from Ishinomaki Station, served by the Ishinomaki Line, the Senseki Line, and the Senseki-Tohoku Line.
For those who plan to drive, the museum is around 10 minutes from the Ishinomaki Kanan IC on the Sanriku Expressway. There are various paid parking lots close to the museum, and museum staff will validate your parking for up to one hour on presentation of your parking ticket. Details about the nearby lots can be found on the official website.
