A special exhibition taking place at the Kurashiki City Art Museum looks at new items added to the museum's collection in recent years. The event will include pieces donated from the family of the Kurashiki-born Western-style painter Kozo Okano, ceramic works by Haruji Takeuchi and Akio Okamoto, and plenty more.
Adult admission to the event is priced at 210 yen.
Getting there
The Kurashiki City Art Museum is located ten minutes on foot from the JR Kurashiki Station, served by the Sanyo Main Line and the Hakubi Line. Bus services are also available from the station to the museum - take the Ryobi Bus from Platform 3 until you reach the Ohara Museum of Art stop, and the Kurashiki City Art Museum is just a minute on foot from there.
For those who plan to drive, the venue is around 5 minutes from the Sanyo Expressway's Kurashiki IC, or around 15 minutes from the Hayashima IC. Do note that there is no dedicated lot for the museum, but there are numerous paid lots in the surrounding area.
