Okinawan Soba today is still made of wheat as it was during the reign of the Ryukyuan kings. Ichintouya is an Okinawan Soba shop that serves just four Okinawan Soba dishes (striped pork, soft soki, spare rib, and tofu), jyushi rice, shaved ice desserts, and beverages. The name is Okinawan (Uchina Guchi) for the local Ikento neighborhood of Okinawa City. The location is newly constructed, nicely decorated and clean, with friendly service by an attentive staff. Ichintouya is located on Route 74 in Okinawa City where the Okinawa Expressway curves away from the nearby Kadena Air Base fence line. Ichintouya is open 11:00 ~ 17:00 weekdays and 11:00 ~ 20:00 on Saturday and Sunday.
