With a history dating back to 1957, Orion is Japan's fifth largest brewery and the producer of Orion Beer, which commands an incredible 60% of the Okinawan beer market. The Orion Beerfest is a celebration of this, and the popular summertime event draws thousands of attendees each year.
Alongside the crisp, refreshing beer to sip on, there will be numerous food stalls, fun stage performances, and even fireworks displays to cap off each evening. More information about the lineup of performers can be found on the official event website.
There is no admission fee to enjoy the atmosphere of the event, but do bring yen if you plan on purchasing food or drinks. Please bring a valid form of photo ID with your birthdate for alcohol purchases.
Getting there
The event takes place at the Koza Sports Park, which can be accessed in just two minutes from the Okinawa Minami IC on the Okinawa Expressway.
