Ryukyu Mura Cultural Park

A mini theme park in Onna village

Ryukyu Mura is a collection of old houses assembled in a theme park in Onna-son, the middle of Okinawa Honto just over one hour north of Naha by car or bus. Take a step back in time to Okinawa a hundred years ago, where buffalo driven carts and old villages milling sugar cane were more common place.

While parts of the park appear a bit cheesy and run down, it is a nevertheless a family friendly way to spend an afternoon, with traditional dances and friendly costumed staff. Being partly sheltered and level it is suitable on a rainy or hot day, as well as being wheelchair and stroller friendly.
