To celebrate the release of Minions & Monsters, the Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay is hosting the Minions & Monsters Afternoon Tea from July 24th to September 3rd, transforming its Lobby Lounge into a colorful tribute to everyone's favorite yellow troublemakers. Designed around the world of the Minions and the movie's new character, Goomi, the menu combines eye-catching sweets with tropical summer flavors.
Expect treats inspired by the film, including a rich pistachio mousse modelled after Goomi, Minion-themed macaron cream puffs, banana tarts paying homage to the Minions' favorite snack, and tropical fruit jelly with a beach-inspired design. Each guest also receives a Minion parfait featuring the movie's logo and colors, along with a themed cookie that practically begs to be photographed before you dig in.
The savory selection adds a local Osaka twist. Guests can enjoy kushikatsu-inspired Eggs Benedict, quail egg skewers with hollandaise sauce, and raisin bread sandwiches topped with banana chips. Matcha-flavored scones round out the menu, giving the afternoon tea a distinctly Japanese touch.
As an added bonus, diners will receive a limited-edition Minions & Monsters postcard on a first come, first served basis while supplies last, making it a fun keepsake from the experience.
The afternoon tea is served daily in two sittings at the hotel's first-floor Lobby Lounge, with each session lasting up to two hours. Prices are 5,800 JPY for adults and 3,480 JPY for children aged 6 to 12.
Located in Osaka's bayside district, the Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay is also well placed for sightseeing, with attractions such as Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, Yumeshima, and other popular entertainment areas within easy reach. If you're already planning to catch the latest Minions adventure during your Japan holiday, this themed afternoon tea is a fun way to make the experience even more memorable.
