Yokohama Hammerhead is a multi-function complex that includes a mall, hotel and cruise pier. The facility is a short walk from Bashamichi Station near Minato Mirai.
The core function of Yokohama Hammerhead is to serve as an international cruise terminal. The cruise terminal at Shinko Pier can accommodate cruise ships up to 116,000 tons. The CIQ hall (customs, immigration and quarantine) can even be used as an event and exhibition hall.
In addition to the pier and the CIQ hall, Yokohama Hammerhead is also home to the InterContinental Yokohama Pier 8. With over 170 rooms, the hotel overlooks the harbor with easy access to Yokohama and Tokyo.
The part of the Yokohama Hammerhead mall is no less impressive. Visitors can discover 25 shops and restaurants, including tea rooms with fantastic views from the terrace, a candy factory, ramen shops and much more. Freshly baked sweets can be sampled at Ariake Harbor Studio.
